Why has it taken ATLUS so long to make Persona 6?

I'm not complaining at all, so don't get me wrong - I'd love to have them take their sweet time and deliver another incredible product. But what's I'm just confused as to why it's taken them such a long time? Persona 5 was a ginormous success, commercially and critically, so you'd think they'd want to milk that and release another entry ASAP.

The gap between P3 and P4 was only 2 years, and P3 was still considered somewhat niche, while P5 has arguably pushed them into the mainstream RPG scene (it literally outsold FFXVI).

Idk i guess i'm just really hungry for another Persona game, especially after playing Metaphor which completely reignited my love for ATLUS.
