Powerpass Changeover Switch
So, my solar battery installation company has given me an option of manual changeover switch on blackout, or an auto one.
Auto one is $100 and auto is $800 (rough numbers, can’t remember exactly)
He said for reliability and with how infrequent of use, he recommends to save the money and just go manual.
But if I really wanted auto changeover, how reliable are they? Are there any other issues i might introduce if I go with auto?
My main reason is if I’m away on holidays, I know I won’t come home to defrosted and refrozen freezers… plus my security cameras and alarm system would stay up and running (they are behind a UPS with an 8 hour runtime)
