Just want to wander and practice French

Just booked a random vacation for next week in Paris. Live in NYC so major tourist attractions aren’t that exciting to me, I prefer to wander cute little areas.

What are your favorites?

Also an advanced beginner/ intermediate French speaker, trying to get over my speaker freeze. Any good hints on how to do this? I’m worried that once I start, people will switch to English :(
