My last two recent posts include myself strongly considering buying the game, since I was very unsure, to then getting eaten by a mimic for the first time after finally biting the bullet. I made a comment on one of the posts stating that I would update Reddit when I finally defeat the final boss.

Well, Ashen One, it is done. I now stand as the Lord of Cinder for the very first time ever. I’ve only got Elden Ring to compare to, but DS3’s boss lineup is absolutely phenomenal, & Soul of Cinder now sits at #1 for my favourite boss fight of all time, so hard but such an amazing experience.

Heavy infused Claymore carried my ass for the entirety of the game, no shields, no spells, just R1 & R2 mash role playing the victim as always, specifically with *Pontiff sulyvahn*.

Extremely happy I gave DS3 a chance, it’s a lot more gruelling than ER & a lot more unforgiving, though I do find the boss fights a lot more immersive than ER since their attacks are not delayed by a *month*… there’s still so much I need to do & quite a few bosses I’ve missed, so I’ll tackle those before NG+. Journey 2 awaits. I’m open to any fun weapons & builds you use.

First playthrough completed, I now stand as the Lord of Cinder. To everyone who persuaded me to play DS3, I can’t thank you enough.
