Fought the urge to buy M5 pro and bought an M5 MBP. Happy I made the choice.

My Use case: mostly office work, so a lot of google sheets, some quite large, with some video editing.

Since it's a business expense I was really "wanted" the M5 Pro / 48 GB RAM, just because of my tendencies to buy the better, future proofing etc.

Did my research, learnt for spreadsheets multicore performance is irrelevant only the single thread performance matters and ofcourse RAM matters a lot.

Bought the M5 / 32 GB RAM saved around INR 60,000 which is around USD 700....not regretting it, because of the low power use, battery back up is incredibly good and the charger is tiny.

Very glad I bought the 32 GB ram because System use is without any apps open around 9-10GB RAM and I very easily go upto 20-22 GB Ram

If you decide M5 Macbook pro make sure you get atleast 24 GB RAM, I would recommend 32 GB if you do a lot of browser based work and have lots of other apps open at the same time.
