Need Kanji List

Hi. I have heard that there are some basic Kanjis, how many exactly I don't know, but they constitute the rest of the higher level Kanjis that are made of multiple/compound Kanji. And they help in identifying/guessing the complex/unknown Kanji. The term for the compound Kanji that I am referring to is called Jokugo.

Can anyone please share the list of those basic Kanjis or where can I get them?
