Weird guy invading personal space on the TTC

Transit

So last year on the TTC a guy got up to the seat beside me and sat uncomfortably close, almost flush against me, with his elbow practically jabbing into my ribs. I got uncomfortable but as he didn’t otherwise acknowledge me, I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt, thought maybe he had different ideas about personal space, so simply got up and left. Cut to now, a guy (who I’m pretty sure is the same person) got into the seat next to me, again sat extremely close, then told me to move my legs so he could “sit properly,” even though I was sitting normally in my seat. Apparently his idea of sitting properly is spreading and pushing one leg into my space. I’m reminded of the encounter from last year, and now wonder if it’s some sort of low level harassment tactic after all, with just enough plausible deniability so the other person is unlikely to call them out on it. Wondering if other women have encountered this.
