🇯🇵 The new update marked two entire units as completed, which I never started and...
...units I'd completed/started were marked as never touched.
In the practice hub and in reviews, I kept coming across words I'd never before seen nor heard. Couldn't figure out why, until I scrolled back up through the units and found that I didn't recognize Discuss the Weather and Order Pastries.
What I did notice immediately after the update was that Talk About Your Family and Handle Emergencies were marked as incomplete, as I had finished the former and had been working my way through the latter when the update dropped.
This update is pretty demoralizing, as the entire point of Duo is to gamify learning. A game is no fun if the rules and score are arbitrarily changed partway through.
It also leaves me wondering what new stuff they snuck into the units I did allegedly complete. Is the solution to start over? [In another app?]
