What would you do in a situation like this?
Pata hai aaj kya hua? Actually, aaj nahi kuchh din pehle hua tha ye...
I was at a park in the evening and walking on the pathway, a girl was walking towards me we crossed each other and looked at each other at the same time and immediately looked away, she was wearing a pink t-shirt, grey pyjamas, had a pony tail, was fit looking and maybe 3-4 inches shorter than me, btw I'm a tall guy by Indian standards (6'1"), also fit and take care of my health and diet.
Then this happened again, we crossed each other again and again, at this point I remembered what my relatives always use to tell me "itna lamba hai tu, ladki dhundni mushkil ho jayegi tere liye, agar koi lambi ladki mile to khud hi baat kar lio hamara wait mat kario". I felt an urge to talk to this girl, she was good looking and I suppose I'm not that bad looking guy as well but I didn't want to interrupt her in the middle and just kept walking, I waited for her to cross me again and I told myself, this time I'll talk to her, but this time as soon as she was coming close to me, she started jogging. So I started jogging as well to meet her faster.
In total, we crossed each other 7 times and after a while I tried to find her but seemed like she was already gone, I really felt stupid that day for not even trying to talk to her because she was actually a nice looking girl, someone I would have wanted to be friends with and hopefully take things further.
Can someone tell what I could've done differently, and is it okay to just talk to random girls you meet in park or public place you find attractive? This is the first time something like this happened to me but I feel that was my only chance because finding a tall girl in India IRL is like finding needle in a haystack. I've been thinking about that girl after that day because looks wise she was like a perfect match for me and I'm really regretting my shyness, not taking my chance.
What would you suggest so I don't make the same mistake again if something like this happens in future, which in my opinion is already an extremely rare occurrence.
