Why are there so many bad drivers now??

Every time I drive I feel surrounded by people who have no idea what anything means/is on the road. Whenever I see a good driver on the road I actually feel surprised. Like I'm sure majority of people on the road have passed their drivers license but then how are they so bad at driving? I don't even get road rage I just watch in disbelief.
