Veteran in Temecula at risk of missing rent due to GI Bill issue — need advice ASAP

I’m a veteran using the Post-9/11 GI Bill and currently a student (ASU + in-person classes in Temecula, CA).

My housing allowance dropped this month due to a VA processing issue (they said spring break affected payments), and now I’m short on rent due April 3.

I have about enough to cover utilities, but not both rent and utilities.

I’ve already:

Contacted the VA

Called the crisis line

Reached out to US VETS (no help without eviction notice)

Contacted 211 and local resources

Waiting on callbacks, but trying to avoid falling behind.

Has anyone dealt with this or know of programs that help BEFORE eviction in Riverside County / Temecula?

Not looking to panic — just trying to solve this the right way before things get worse.
