so I was doing 3 hours of manual Reddit prospecting every Sunday for about 4 months and somehow convinced myself this was fine
it was working which made it harder to stop. closing actual customers from it. but also completely eating my weekends
eventually just built something to fix it. real time subreddit monitoring, AI intent scoring on every post, outreach drafted automatically when something looks promising
first version was genuinely terrible. the scoring was all over the place and I was still manually reviewing everything anyway
took maybe 6 weeks of tweaking before it was actually saving me time instead of creating different work
now it's 15 minutes Monday morning instead of 3 hours Sunday night and the leads are honestly better because I'm not writing outreach exhausted at 10pm anymore
the thing I didn't expect was how much the response rate improved just from sending messages earlier in the thread lifecycle. timing is actually most of it
turned it into its own product now which has been a whole separate building experience
still figuring out distribution which is kind of funny given what the product does --- Leadline btw
