Pls help on how to navigate this situation.
[Long rant ahead]
So, this is my first pregnancy in a new country with little to no support. I could only eat specific meals and I used to order from the restaurant daily because I didn't have the energy to make something for myself, my entire first trimester. Caught a fever for few days as a result of this.
I asked my husband to step up and take leave for a week to help me recover but he couldn't because he had 2-3 job offers in hand and mentioned how he would've issues serving notice period. I asked my MIL to help me out but she mentioned the visa issues and on how her son was not sure because my visa was ending two months later. My parents couldn't help me out because they didn't have their passports renewed. My husband later told my parents that my MIL didn't want to help, because I didn't inform her that I was leaving India (this was my fourth time in 2 years). I was treated at the hospital for a few hours.
I'm currently at my parents home because I was scared for my child's health. My husband stays away from home for 12+ hours due to his nature of job.
Now that he's gotten a new job my MIL visited me in India and has been hinting on how he wouldn't be here for baby shower and would directly visit during the delivery. Her snide remarks about my family and me are really discouraging. I honestly blame my husband for his lack of boundaries.
Plus I'm financially dependent on my husband but he doesn't allot any money for me when I'm with my parents.
I can feel the resentment and hatred for my husband, that I had brushed off before . My pregnancy hormones aren't helping either. I hate this situation and feels like I'm pretending to be nice to my husband.
How do I navigate this?
