Spoilers for episode 5 part 2! Is my game bugged or am I missing something!?

Hi, so I'm at the part where you learn about Wintermute and Jeremiah. and now I have to go to perseverance mills. but the gate that the marker points too is locked. and I can't make my way to the bunkbeds because the floor has gone? literally. I fall through it and then spawn by the entrance to the lab. but I'm not sure if that's connected to me not being able to progress the story. I do know however that it won't let me sleep even in the truck outside?
