McGill A! - Defer to next year

After months of worries, its all gone.

I want to look into deferring my offer to next year so I can finish a few courses that were supposed to be offered in the summer but are not being offered this year due to budget cuts. I can still graduate in the summer but not from the program im currently in, it would be an open studies degree. Would this be a valid reason to defer? If anyone has deferred an offer from McGill your advice would be greatly appreciated.
