Moving to Reem island, how to get to work in Khalifa city

Hi,

I’m moving to Abu Dhabi, based on my personal needs specifically budget and also how dog friendly certain areas are, I’m leaning towards living in Reem Island.

I was after advice on transportation?

I will work 5 days a week in office in Khalifa city and I’m not sure what the go is with public transport in Abu Dhabi. I heard people use taxis quite often but I’m looking at Careem and hypothetically speaking, if I travel to and from work at 5pmish, it will cost 97 dirhams? If I do the maths and assume a ride will cost me $90 a trip on average that totals to 3600 dirhams a month ( 2 trips a day 5 days a week) which seems a lot? My company allowance for transportation is 1400. Would appreciate some advice. Thank you.
