Hokkaido and Tokyo - April last week itinerary check

Advice

Hello, thanks all for the kind feedback on my last post, which was my primitive itinerary. Solid advices. I have taken them and shortened my Hokkaido trip and will spend more time around Tokyo as planned. Kindly review my itinerary and let me know how you’d do differently.

This is my second trip to Japan. Previously have done Kyoto-Osaka-Tokyo and Nagoya. remember being super overwhelmed by the time I reached Tokyo.

PHASE ONE - TOKYO

Day 1 (18th April) - Arrive in NRT at 8 am. Check in into hostel (want to stay near Shimokitazawa or close-by this time). Day spent thrift shopping. Evening - dinner and stuff with friend.

Day 2 (Sunday) 19/4 - Tokyo flea market and roam around. Afternoon - Kichijoji. Chill around the lake and maybe find a temple to sketch and laze around. Lunch - Tempura at Kanekoya or Tarekatsu 🤤. Evening - Train to Nakano station. Wander around Nakano broadway. Dinner at Tototo (Japanese style Pizza).

Day 3 - 20/4 - 7 am - fly to Hakodate.

PHASE TWO - HOKKAIDO.

Day 3 20/4- Goryokaku. Evening at Mt Hakodate. Overnight stay (Hakoba Hakodate)

Day 4 21/4 - Travel to Lake Toya (stay here)

Day 5 22/4- Noboribetsu.

Day 6,7 23,24/4 - Conference + Sapporo

Day 8 25/4- Day trip to Otaru.

PHASE THREE - Peri-Tokyo

Day 9 26/4 - land in HND. Go Straight to Yokohama, explore Yokohama, Stay in Yokohama

Day 10 27/4 - Yokohama + half day Enoshima. Stay in Yokohama.

Day 11 28/4 - Kanazawa + stay in Kanazawa.

Day 12 29/4 - Hakone + stay in Hakone.

Day 13 30/4 - Make way back to Tokyo, somewhere near NRT to catch flight next day back home.

Is the moving around a bit much and should i convert single day stays into day tours from a base? Any other criticism? Thank you, and as always, appreciate you 🤗
