Maruti Grand Vitara Mild Hybrid AT top end @ ~2L discount (Bangalore) – worth it?
Hey folks,
I’m considering the Maruti Grand Vitara (mild hybrid, automatic) Alpha variant and currently getting discounts close to ₹2L in Bangalore, which makes the deal quite tempting.
On paper it seems like a very practical choice, but I wanted to get some real-world feedback before deciding.
- Mileage (Bangalore conditions):
What are you guys seeing in peak traffic vs highways?
I’ve seen claims of ~20 kmpl, but hearing more realistic numbers around 14–18 depending on driving.
- Performance & drivability:
During my test drive, it felt smooth but not very punchy.
Does the lack of power start bothering over time, especially for overtakes / highway driving?
- Value for money (post discount):
At ~18-19L on-road after discounts, do you think it’s a smarter buy than Aircross X/Creta/Seltos/Kushaq/Taigun? Considering features like ventilated and electric seats, EPB, leatherette dash and interiors etc that are on offer with the grand vitara mild hybrid.
Strong hybrid is ruled out because of very small boot.
My annual average running is about 7k kms with 60-40 split of city-highway driving.
