Not a fan of having my S rank replaced with whatever rank i got on hardcore

Im on a journey to play all the base game missions on hardcore (it’s miserable thx for asking), and I noticed all my S rank on standard got replaced with whatever rank i got on hardcore. It’s bothering me since i like to the row of S on the mission select.
