Finished PEP but sick.

I just recently finished the PEP treatment, but I don't feel relieved or happy at all. I'm extremely anxious about it not having worked.

Toward the last few days of PEP, I started developing a sore throat and bad cough. I had a fever (for one single night) and headaches. Although the fever only lasted for a night, the sore throat and headaches stayed for a total of 5 days.

I took my last doses of PEP on Monday and it's Wednesday now. Currently, I have a very slight sore throat in the mornings and a persistent cough throughout the day and night (probably irritated throat). One ear is clogged and one eye is quite red and full of mucus when waking up.

I called the hospital and they just said that I should wait until Friday as I already had my appointment set for the blood analysis beforehand. They also said it might just be the typical flu but I'm scared that it is seroconversion.

Did anyone else experience a short fever, sore throat and coughing fits on PEP and still ended up testing negative? I'm going crazy.
