Trying to feel out my options
Hey everyone,
My 2016 FRS is in good shape mechanically and only at around 60k miles, I plan on being the last owner. Issue is that the paint is kinda beat to hell and im not sure what my options are.
First thought was wrapping it, but it just feels wasteful to spend 3k or more for a wrap that only lasts around 2 maybe 3 years tops in Arizona heat (120F in the summer easily, sometimes more).
Option two is a full repaint, but that’s 6-10k which is almost what the car is worth. And it’s not like insurance cares so if I drop the cash and someone totals it the next day I’m stuck.
Last thought was a paint correction, but I’ve talked to three different shops/ independent detailers and it seems like unless you want to do a wrap they’re more or less not interested/ bound to ghost you.
What options am I missing for correcting/ fixing the paint on my car? Roof panel is shot, needs replaced. Hood as well probably. All the other panels are salvageable/ only wind abrasion.
