Hey kit fam,

Let’s keep it 100: our first Spain 2026 away sample was a miss. Plain white, zero jacquard texture — and we know exactly how gutting that is for La Roja stans gearing up for the World Cup.

We didn’t just slap a fake print on and call it a day. Perfecting this kit was way harder than we ever expected, and we want to pull back the curtain on the real struggles we fought through to get this right:

🛠️ The Real Challenges We Faced (No Fluff, Just the Grind)

# 1. Chasing the Invisible Detail: Capturing the Official Texture

This isn’t a cheap printed pattern — it’s a **woven jacquard texture** that’s barely visible from far away, but makes or breaks the kit’s premium feel.
First, we had to track down an *authentic player-version kit* (no easy feat, these are not available to the public) just to study it. We spent 3 full days doing millimeter-by-millimeter macro shots, testing 7 different lighting setups to map every curve of the scrollwork, and even analyzing the yarn density to match the official weave. Most sellers skip this step entirely — we refused.

# 2. Fighting the Factory: Remaking the Mold From Scratch

Our original mold was built for a plain white jersey. To add this texture, we had to **scrap the entire mold entirely** (a 4-figure cost we ate with zero hesitation) and re-engineer every single needle position on the industrial jacquard loom.
This wasn’t a one-and-done fix. We ran 8 full rounds of test samples, each taking 3+ days to produce, just to tweak the texture depth, weave tightness, and — the biggest headache of all — **texture direction**. The official kit’s texture runs at a specific diagonal angle, and getting that 1:1 required us to re-calibrate the loom 6 separate times, fighting the factory’s tight production schedule every step of the way.

# 3. Balancing Speed vs. Perfection (We Chose Perfection)

We know everyone’s been begging for this kit ahead of the World Cup, and we felt the pressure to ship fast. But every time we got a sample that was “close enough,” we knew the kit nerds in this community would spot the off texture instantly.
We turned down multiple requests to ship the current textured sample early, even though it would’ve made us money faster. In this hobby, “good enough” is just “bad” with a nicer name — and we never ship bad kits to you.

# 4. Meeting Your (Very High) Standards

We sent test samples to our core group of long-time customers and diehard kit fanatics, and every single one called out the texture direction mismatch. We didn’t get defensive — we listened. That’s the bar we set for ourselves: if a real fan can spot a flaw, we fix it, no questions asked, no excuses.

# 🎯 Where We Stand Now

Our latest sample has the full, official-style jacquard texture across the entire jersey — no more plain white. But we’re still not shipping it.
The texture direction is still slightly off from the authentic kit, and we’re already working with the factory on one final mold recalibration to get it 1:1 perfect. We will not ship a single order until this tiny, make-or-break detail is flawless.

This is what Kitdd stands for: we’re kit nerds too. We know the struggle of chasing that perfect replica, and we’ll never cut corners, never ship a half-baked product, and never hide our mistakes from this community.

Got any other tiny details you want us to fix? Drop them in the comments — we’re reading every single one.

Thanks for sticking with us while we get this right.
