Thoughts on Going After Gafford?

Dallas is going through their own rebuild with Flagg and Lively as central pieces. I'm presuming that Clippers will have a range of ages but will build closer to Garland's timeline (he's 26).

Daniel Gafford seems almost a perfect match for clippers. He's 27 years old, 6' 10" rim protector and shot blocker and better rebounder than Lopez at this stage.

He has spent his career playing both Center and PF so he can be utilized in small ball lineups that Ty Lue loves with him at Center (although not sure 6' 10" center qualifies for small center, tho seems like most centers are now about 7ft) but can also be paired with another Big as you see sometimes in Dallas with him and Lively at times. So you can play double big lineups with him and YKN or IJAX.

He's athletic and can catch lobs, put backs, and will work well in pick & rolls with Garland. His contract is affordable at $17mil next season, which is roughly what Bogdonavic will make next season (if his team option is picked up, also makes bogi a possible trade candidate).

However, the one con with him is unlike Brook, he's not a 3pt shooter but then again, neither was big Zu. What are your thoughts?
