[Admissions Advice] UCSD MSDS vs NYU Courant MSCS

Hello everyone,

I’m currently deciding between UCSD MSDS and NYU Courant MSCS, and I’d really appreciate some insights.

My primary goal is to move into industry (ML/Data roles), not research or a PhD at this stage. I’m trying to understand which program would be better in terms of:

•	Depth of machine learning and technical rigour

•	Focus on applied learning (projects, real-world skills, coding)

•	Internship opportunities and industry exposure

•	Overall career outcomes for ML roles
