beginner tips i should know?
Hi! Some months ago I gifted myself the base game of Root, and I was able to play with my partner some 2 player games, as the 3 main factions (I still have to try vagabond). Additionally, I bought the Steam version while on sale and tried some of the tutorials, and some local games against AI. I started using the PC version so I could get familiar with all the factions and rules in in an easier and faster way (and also 'see' how a standard Root game should look like, as I was unsure I was playing right all the time with my boyfriend).
Here's the thing: I am pretty used to playing board games (mostly eurogames, but some other strategy based coop games such as Zombicide, and I don't consider myself a newbie in this field), but I've been absolutely destroyed and humiliated by the AI on the games I've played on the digital version, like 80% of them (not tutorials).
What do you recommend? (games with my partner were pretty close and tight, as we both were new to the game) Marquise and Eyrie are okay, I think they are as easy as you could get, but the Alliance is still pretty difficult for me.
Help a man out! Give me some of your best tips for new players, so I feel confident playing physical Root and trying the Riverfolks! Thank you all :)
