[REQUEST] [STEAM] RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM (4th ATTEMPT)

REQUEST

Hi everyone, my last post was removed, i dont know why. I have humbly asked mods to help me out with the issue so i can rectify it and also i am really sorry to spam your feed with my continuous request.

I wanted to share something that’s been close to me for a long time and how life has came and things have spiralled down on me.

My journey with Resident Evil started when I was just a kid. I still remember standing in a small game parlour, watching someone play Resident Evil 4. There was this moment Leon calmly adjusting a shotgun in his inventory and I don’t know why, but that stayed with me. I didn’t even understand the game fully, but I knew right then… I loved it. That moment is honestly what pulled me into gaming.

Back then, I couldn’t afford anything. I had an old PC that couldn’t run the game. I took it to a shop, and they told me I needed to upgrade from a Pentium 4 to an AMD processor. That was the first time I even learned what a processor was. I didn’t really understand it I just knew I wanted to play that game somehow.

Then I remember the reveal of Resident Evil 5. Our internet was incredibly slow just a few kbps but I somehow managed to download the trailer. It took forever. And once I had it, I watched it again and again, every single day. I was completely obsessed.

When the game finally released… it didn’t run. I took my PC back to the same shop, and this time they told me I needed a graphics card. That’s when I learned what a GPU was. It was expensive way more than we could easily afford. But my dad… he still got it for me. He didn’t have much, but he understood how much this meant to me. I still remember that feeling playing the game knowing what it took for him to make that happen. I played it day and night.

As life went on, things didn’t really get easier, but I kept finding ways. When Resident Evil 6 came out, my PC couldn’t handle it again. By then I had started college and was doing part-time work, so I managed to buy a laptop just to play it. People say it’s not the best in the series, but to me, that never mattered. If it’s Resident Evil, it means something to me.

For Resident Evil 7, I bought a used PS4 just so I wouldn’t miss it. And recently, I even bought a broken Steam Deck and somehow fixed it myself just to finally experience Resident Evil Village. It sounds crazy when I say it out loud, but this series has always been worth that effort to me.

A big part of that determination came from my dad. He believed in me and supported me in ways that went beyond money. He’s not here anymore… but every time I play Resident Evil, it brings back those memories. It’s not just a game for me it’s a connection to a part of my life I can never get back.

Right now, I’m disabled and not in a position to afford new games, i had a major accident few months ago which had my leg amputed. Never thought i’ll be rocking a steel leg but nontheless i now get to call myself cyborg. Things are a bit difficult, and I don’t have the same support I once did. Life’s been though lately. But I still carry that same love for this series.

I really want to experience Resident Evil REQUIEM. Not just as a game but as another chapter in something that has been with me through so much of my life.

If someone out there is kind enough to gift it, I honestly don’t have the right words to express how much that would mean to me. It would become another story I carry forward about kindness, and about continuing something that started all those years ago in a small game parlour.

To me, my dad will always be my real hero the kind who didn’t fight monsters on screen, but quietly fought through life to make sure I could. I want to play this game and cry myself out which is long due, as he is not there this time to cheer me up while i kill zombies.

Thank you for reading this far.
