Is this normal after my first wax?

A lot of hair was still left behind, and I ended up having to pluck for like 30 minutes afterward. Is that normal, or did I just not get the best wax? I also noticed some wax residue still on my skin.

Now I have a bunch of red bumps and a little bleeding, but I’m hoping it calms down by tomorrow. I want to shower to get the residue and blood off, but I’m not sure how long I should wait before getting the area wet. Any advice or thoughts?
