Can I get into a good EU university for MS with 7.5-8 CGPA (ECE student from India)?
*Hi everyone,
I’m an Electronics and Communication Engineering student from India, currently in my 5th semester with a CGPA of around 7.5. By the time I graduate (7th/8th semester), I’m expecting my CGPA to be around 8.0.
my_qualifications
- 10th grade: 96%
- 12th (Intermediate): 69%
- Current CGPA: 7.5 (can improve to ~8) with one cleared backlog
- Branch: ECE
Other profile:
- Worked on multiple projects (embedded systems, robotics, AI/ML-related academic projects)
- Participated in several Model United Nations (MUNs)
- Hackathon participation
- Planning to do an internship and maybe publish a paper before applying
I want to apply for MS in Europe in fields like Embedded Systems
My questions:
- Is CGPA 7.5–8 enough for good universities in Europe (like in Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Ireland)?
- How much do European universities focus on CGPA vs projects/internships?
- Which countries are more CGPA-focused and which are more profile-based?
- Do I have a realistic chance at top public universities, or should I target mid-range universities?
- If anyone got into EU universities with similar CGPA, please share your profile and where you got admitted.
I would really appreciate honest advice and university suggestions. Thanks in advance!*
