Why Did You Become a PA?

Hello all! I’m trying to figure out career options, and some of the ones I’m looking at and are high on my list are PA and NP. I’m not looking to see “which one is better than the other.” I’m just looking to see the differences and what makes each unique.

I had a few questions regarding being a PA. Why did you choose to become a PA? What are some pros and cons to the career? What are some things a person should know if they want to pursue the career? Why should one pursue it? Why shouldn’t one pursue it? Any insight is appreciated, thanks.
