Will NOTHING shut down as a company?

Phone (4a)

6 years with the same phone. The screen is cracked, camera is genuinely embarrassing at this point, battery dies in like 4 hours of just scrolling, volume buttons stopped working and it freezes and overheats constantly. This thing needs to go.

I'm not someone who cares about specs at all honestly. What pulled me toward Nothing was just the vibe, the design looks unique, the OS feels clean without being shoved full of garbage apps, it just feels like a phone made for people who actually think about these things. Was pretty much decided on the 4a.

But then I went down a rabbit hole and found out Nothing got a compulsory strike off notice from Companies House back in March 2026. Apparently it got discontinued on the 18th so they're still alive but something feels off.

My worry is pretty straightforward. If Nothing does shut down eventually, am I just left with an orphaned phone? Updates stop, security patches stop, warranty claims become a nightmare? Am I reading this situation correctly or am I overthinking it?

This is probably my phone for the next 6 7 years so I really don't want to mess this up. Anyone here who knows more about this or has been through something similar with a brand shutting down mid ownership?
