I can't fully believe in it

No matter what I do I can't exactly believe in manifestation. I feel like every success story can be explained. Even though I'm interested in spiritual stuff I always have a realistic side believes that humans aren't that special and can't have anything they want. Stories feel more like seeing the bright side rather than bending the reality. Like how can someone be so sure that they're the reason of something happening? And I feel like I can't exactly try it myself since I'm doubtful so it's kind of a loop.

Even if it really is true and you can have anything it doesn't sound right to me. I believe that you must work if you want or need something so that you can improve. If you can just manifest anything you want would you really be satisfied? Wouldn't that be meaningless after a while? For example I've seen people manifesting affection, respect, love ext. I feel like it's better to earn these things by yourself. And even if you can't you should be in peace with your loneliness. I understand the manifestation of jobs or money though since some people might really be in need of those.

English isn't my first language so I hope I've made my point through. I'd love to try it out and see it for myself but these questions keep nagging me.
