Looking for personal and recent reviews of Ashram Guest houses (Park , Sea Side, The Retreat)

Looking for personal reviews of Park Guest House for a family stay (couple + 2 children).

We're only seeking clean rooms and bathrooms, plus reliable electricity and water supply and safety.
We don't need anything fancy—I'm aware these aren't like regular hotels with room service and all the extras.

I like Park Guest House because it's secluded yet close to the railway station. The issue is, whenever I pass by the guest house on my evening walks, it seems mostly unoccupied and unlit —same with Sea Side Guest House and The Retreat. So I'm wondering: Is there some inherent problem with these places, or is it just because alcohol is prohibited, and they can't be booked last-minute or via travel portals that tourist's don't opt for these.
