is akali scaling very well this season or am i crazy?

i usually heard from people that akalis scaling is bad, shes good in the early-mid game but falls off hard in late game, and ngl i always felt like she was very good in late game, maybe its cause im low elo and snowball well because i know the limits of my champ, or maybe its just the itemization this season, although i am interested in what you guys think!
