Trying to solve a 231 year old mystery.

My 5th great-grandfather is still currently missing and I am trying to solve the 231 year old mystery of where he is.

He was a Quaker. Born 1748 and died in 1795. What church records that did exist are gone now, which leaves me with few options left.

I have narrowed down two possible Quaker cemeteries in Rensselaerville, NY, where he possibly is buried. One in Pitter Hollow, the other in Westerlo, NY.

If anyone can tell me anything, it will be greatly appreciated.
