Considering self-filing I-485 - Any advice?

Hi everyone,

I’m from one of the currently paused countries, and now that my visa bulletin category is current, I’m preparing to file my I-485. The issue is that most immigration lawyers I’ve contacted are very busy and not accepting new cases, so I’m considering filing it myself. I also have one dependent, so I want to be extra careful.

Has anyone here recently filed with a lawyer specailly Chen or Porter? If so, could you please share what documents or exhibits they included in the I-485 package, especially with the recent changes and added scrutiny? I’m just trying to understand how they organized the package and what supporting documents they added beyond the standard forms.

Any advice would really help. Thank you.
