Artemis II and a slightly uncomfortable thought

I’ve always had a hard time buying into the “Moon landings” as they’re usually presented.

That being said, for some reason Artemis II feels different to me. It feels tangible, current, and real in a way I can’t quite explain.

And then a slightly wine-fueled thought hit me: imagine if this ends up being humanity’s first truly meaningful step into deep space… and that’s the moment something out there decides to take notice.

Like we finally venture out for real, and someone’s been watching the whole time and just goes, “alright, now they’re interesting.”

Probably nonsense …. but also a pretty wild thought.

What say you?
