Need help about seeing a raven.

Question for r/Jung

I saw a raven and would love some insight! Been on the Jung path since September 2025!

I recently had my second therapy session for PTSD from being in an abusive marriage with an addict. I’m still married and have been trying to figure out what to do for a long time. I’ve wanted a divorce for a while, but something always seems to happen that keeps me stuck.

About a year ago, I fell in love with someone else—a friend of ours. When we moved, he stopped talking to me because he wanted me to get divorced first, which I understand. It was a complicated and wrong situation.

Yesterday, I caught my husband using again, and it was a really difficult day. Later that afternoon, his phone rang—and it was the man I love. My heart dropped. I went outside, sat alone for about 20 minutes, prayed, and asked for clarity. In that moment, I felt a deep sense of knowing: I need to get a divorce. I also realized that what I felt for this other man was something I’ve never felt in my marriage—safe, deep, and hard to put into words. Even if nothing ever comes from it, I know I won’t feel that kind of love with my husband.

I talked to my husband about getting a divorce, and he understood and agreed. Then, after months of waiting, we finally received an offer on our house.

Today in therapy, I shared everything, and it became even clearer to me—this is going to be hard, but I need to move forward with the divorce and not let anything get in the way.

As I was leaving therapy, I found myself thinking about that man again and wondering why he called. Then I heard a thought in my mind: “there is still love there.” I wasn’t sure if that message was about him or about my husband.

Right after that, a raven flew in front of my car, wings spread wide, then landed beside me and looked right at me. It felt significant, like it meant something—I just don’t fully understand what yet.
