New charging behavior with software update?

My Polestar 4 updated its software last week. Yesterday I plugged it in, and when I checked in the morning it hadn't charged at all. After snooping around for a bit I found that the charging settings were set for a maximum charge of 50%. I thought that was weird, as I had charged it to 100% before. When I went to change the setting it said that 90% was the recommended maximum, "for battery longevity."

Is this all new with the update?
