What to do with beetles

Forgive me if this is a commonly asked question, I’m new to the sub. I originally bought mealworms for a jumping spider about 2 years ago (who didn’t take to them anyway) and ended up keeping a breeding culture of them ever since (obviously moving them from their cup of oatmeal to an enclosure, etc). At this time I’m trying to reduce the amount of critters I’m looking after, and a local pet store agreed to take the mealworms off my hands. However, they will not accept the beetles and I’m not sure what to do with them. I’m not really comfortable releasing them, and figure they will just continue to rebuild the population I’ve managed to reduce in no time. Ideally I’d really like to not kill them (tbh not sure I could bring myself to), unless they’re benefiting another living creature in some way.
