Why does FIFA ask what nationality we are and what team we are supporting if that doesn’t make a difference?

I’m Portuguese and wanted to see my team play. You’d think because I’m Portuguese I might get a slightly better chance of seeing my own country play but no. I love the Ronaldo fans but can’t help but be frustrated during these times.

Why do they ask if they don’t care in helping us support our own country?
