Lyft - The worst customer service I have ever experienced
I was in the process of signing up for Lyft and wanted to inquire if my background check from the local police department would be sufficient, since it was 2 days old and very valid. I didn't want to provide unnecessary private information to their 3rd party that they use, nor did I want that 3rd party to run a credit check that is unnecessary and harmful to credit scores.
I am just dumbfounded by how terrible the customer service support is. Not a single person answered my question. They threw a few words at me and disappeared. 20 minutes later, a response that made no sense, as if they hadn't even read what I had written, and then they ghosted me yet again.
This happened over the course of over an hour with 5 different individuals. I am just completely shocked, and I am taking this as a massive hint from the universe that I should not drive for this company.
If it was one person, I could understand, but the fact it was so many means there is an issue with the company. If the lowest-end people in customer service are this bad, then there must be a huge problem with the leadership as well.
I can't imagine the headache it would be if there was something serious that needed to be addressed.
I came on here partially to vent, but also to ask why anyone would drive for this company. After this, I fully understand why Uber is more successful and will absolutely never recommend anyone to work for Lyft.
