Hey everyone! I'm looking for a foldable e-bike and could really use some advice or recommendations.

My main priorities are:

* Foldable is important as may need to take on trains while commuting.
* UK Road Legal (250W limit). This also means US brands that are commonly recommended that don't ship to the UK won't work
* Decent Range. For some routes for work right now, I would say I could be doing 42km (26 miles) in a day. Ideally it would comfortably cover that.
* Ability to climb hills - would need to go up to Muswell Hill occassionally which is about a 10 degree climb
* Price - I unfortunately can't afford premium brands and ideally would be spending no more than £1500. I have included some bikes up to £2000 in what I have found so far, although these are likely outside of my price range.

Questions:

* Any positive suggestions, recommendations, or real-world experiences?
* Are there any brands in that price range that people recommend? A lot seem to state to avoid these brands because of their customer service but then other sites suggest the quality of the bikes themselves for the price are decent.
* Are heavier bikes like Engwe's worth it? Or is it better to go lighter?
* Should you rule out those with Cadence sensors and prioritise torque sensors?
* Are the more expensive bikes worth it for the bump in cost? Or are some of the cheaper ones better options because of what they offer for the price?

I have tried to collect as much information from the various websites as possible and put it in one place because they all have such different layouts with the tech specs and a lot of comparison websites are outdated. The points in the photo are accurate as of today according to the brands UK websites.

I’m also open to alternatives if there are better options. Overall, I just feel the task of getting my first electric bike quite daunting.

Any help anybody can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all
