I tried flushing a juice box down the toilet when I was 11

I'm deleting this later oh my goodness it's so embarrassing. I'm 20 now and I still feel so much shame 😭

We were at a family friends new year party. Me and a few other kids were drinking juice. There was not many people upstairs besides my friends (where I was). I finished my juice, and didn't know where the trash was to throw the pouch out.

Ig I was too scared to ask where the trash was, idk don't remember my thought process?? I ended up putting it in the toilet and tried flushing it. It didn't flush, it stayed there.

Basically my mom and my friends mom (hosting the party) came upstairs. My friend was laughing being like "She flushed a juice box down the toilet!" and my friends were laughing about it.

My mom was mad and started yelling at me. My friends mom had to grab it from the toilet and my mom had to help her. I felt so bad. I pretended to laugh along with my friends as some silly kid thing, but tbh I was so embarrassed/guilty.

When I was alone upstairs, I cried a lot. I felt so much shame. I know its normal to have embarrassing stupid moments, but I always had some sorta complex that I needed to be the good quiet kid. I was very sensitive to things like these.

Also I don't know why I did that?? Like I could've just looked for the trash, or ask where it was. Or even just hold onto the pouch. I don't know why I did that. πŸ’€

I'm 20 now, a college student, and I still feel so much shame about it. I saw a TikTok of someone asking "What's the rudest thing a guest did in your house?" and I just thought of what I did December 31st 2016. Like it registers as a terrible memory for me. I feel so terrible about it.
