23M EU (CET) Looking for (Gaming) Friends
Hey everyone! 👋
My name is Ramon, but online I usually go by Amon. I’m 23 and from the Netherlands. I recently built a new PC, which means I can finally play a lot of games I couldn’t before—but more importantly, I’m looking to meet some new people and build real friendships.
Over the years, I’ve noticed that most of my friendships tend to come and go depending on the game I’m playing, and I want to break that cycle. I’m looking for people I can genuinely connect with—people I can call friends, not just teammates I occasionally queue with.
Personality-wise, I’m pretty chill. I enjoy both deeper, meaningful conversations and just having fun and being a bit silly. For example, I recently caught myself watching a Twitch streamer explain their in-game decisions and mentally responding to them—I realized I’d really enjoy having those kinds of conversations with someone.
I’m open-minded, a good listener, and I like exchanging perspectives. I’m looking for people on the same wavelength. It’s a bit hard to define, but to me it means clear communication, mutual effort, and actually listening to each other. Open-mindedness is especially important—I don’t expect you to be super alternative or anything, but having some shared mindset or curiosity goes a long way.
As for games, I play a bit of everything. Right now, my main game is Rainbow Six Siege. I’m also trying to improve at Valorant and getting back into Fortnite and Overwatch. Those are the main games I’ve got installed at the moment.
Outside of gaming, there’s a lot more to me. I’m really into motorsports—especially F1 and endurance racing like IMSA. I also enjoy watching different shows, listening to music, and I have a growing interest in behavioral psychology.
There’s definitely more to talk about, but I’d rather get to know each other naturally—maybe hop into a VC and see if we vibe 🙂
I’m open to joining groups or meeting one-on-one, and I’d prefer people in a similar time zone.
Quick heads-up: I used ChatGPT to help correct this message because of my dyslexia.
