Whats the most ignorant thing a rude customer has done to you?

Ok so I rung up 2 sandwich and didn’t realize we were out of the turkey so I apologized and even offered him a different meat. He seemed polite and just declined asking for a refund. I voided him out ($18.94) and he asked me when will the money come back on his card. I said its usually immediately but at best 3-5 business days. YALL HE LOST IT! He started yelling at me about how it was his last money and now hes gonna starve for the next 3 days until he gets his paycheck. He even called me a money stealer and said i was blaming him (I wasnt I even offered him a free sandwich and sides plus I took full responsibility but he refused anything but turkey) . But I gave him a receipt confirming that he’s voided out. He started demanding to speak to a higher up so I went to go get my GM but when she went to explain to him that theres nothing we can do he was already gone. Mind you this has never happened before all my customers are polite and nice but today it was packed like sardines and I guess packed store, plus 90° weather + april fools= rude people. Anyways I was polite and respectful but What would you have done?

P.S I actually glanced at dudes wallet he had a bunch of cards, drove here in a nice car (I saw) and had cash. So I know he wasnt broke. I just feel like he wanted to cause a scene or maybe he was hangry. But in my opinion and im not trying to judge but if that truly was his last bit of money why not go to walmart or target and buy some cheap ramen or a family pack of chicken. I understand being mad about not getting the sandwich you wanted but to be mad at me about your banks process on refunds is crazy. I literally can’t control that.😂
