Place Jigsaw Command?

So I've been messing around with commands again recently and I just noticed the /place command. I experimented with the feature, featurerule and structure arguments, but I got stuck on the jigsaw one. At last check (I'm not sure when, but it's probably been a while) the jigsaw block had no functional purpose in bedrock edition.

My question: does the jigsaw place command argument and/or the jigsaw block work now? And if so, how?
