Microsoft New AI business solutions credentials: April 2026 and beyond

Following up on my previous post about the AB-series exams, here’s a BIG update

Looks like Microsoft is doubling down on AI + Copilot + Agent-based solutions, and we’re now seeing 4+ new certifications rolling out starting this month (with more expected soon).

AB-620: Microsoft AI Agent Builder Associate
For devs/AI engineers building Copilot Studio + multi-agent solutions (Beta: April, GA: June)

AB-410: Microsoft Intelligent Applications Builder Associate
Power Platform + AI-first apps + agents + automation (Beta: April, GA: June)

AB-210: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales AI Consultant
AI-powered sales, Copilot insights, automation (Beta: May, GA: June)

AB-250 : Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center AI Engineer
CCaaS + AI agents + omnichannel automation (Beta: June, GA: August)

Also worth noting

• New Applied Skills credential: Build an Agent-First App (June 2026)
• PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals) getting refreshed with AI-first updates

My take:

This pretty much confirms where Microsoft is heading:

• Agent-first architecture is the future
• Copilot is no longer optional, it’s core
• Certifications are shifting from theory → real-world AI implementations

If you’re planning certifications:

• Already in Power Platform? → AB-410 is a must
• Into AI / Copilot / automation? → AB-620 looks.
• Dynamics folks → AB-210 / AB-250 will be huge
