Pregnant and panicking

I am 8 months pregnant. I started experiencing some changes to both breast (but worse on R side) a couple of weeks ago. Redness (comes and goes), thickening skin with pitting (orange peel texture), and some itching. I brought it up to my doctor today who is concerned and putting in a stat referral for a breast clinic to get further testing.

When I look up symptoms, I only get results for inflammatory breast cancer. I can’t find many people who experienced this as just a normal part of pregnancy. I’m freaking out honestly and I have no idea what to expect.

I guess I’m just putting this out into the void because I don’t want to tell anyone else in case it’s nothing. I’m really scared.
