Project in Progress - The Great Witco Knockoff

Thought some of y'all would enjoy following along with my new obsession.

My home bar is currently an amalgamation of Tiki and midcentury knickknacks, with the exception of a giant blocky boardgame table that I've grown to hate as my bar got more and more themed. It's functional and it's... fine, i guess. But it's a big black square, featureless brick in the middle of my bar. So for the past couple weeks I've set out on a journey to build the Tikiest gaming table out there.

I love Witco. But like many of y'all, I don't have Witco money. They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery (and definitely not copyright infringement) right? So I found this guy and set my sights.

Got into Sketchup and cranked out a 3d model of my target.

The goal here was to mimic the Witco table base as closely as I could manage, then attach a triple-top system, with a permanently mounted board game vault, and a flip-top removable cover that had a clean wood top on one side, and a poker table with padded rail on the underside. Cat-safe during the day to day, easy to get ready for game nights. This whole project is a significant stretch of my abilities. I've never dealt with curves, wood bending, carving, or the Yakisugi finishing method I felt like suited the design the best. Oh, and I don't have a workshop. I've got a slab of concrete. Great ideas all the way around.

The TLDR here is I'm about halfway in now and am confident enough that it will at least be carried through to completion. If r/tiki cares enough for a build walkthrough (no, I'm not a streamer) I'll start getting into the weeds. As is, here's a teaser of where I'm at so far in the process.
