In addition to it hurting the pacing of replays, the late game flashback section is also viscerally upsetting to me each time (spoilers)

The orphanage section is both not very fun to replay because it's slow and the player has no agency or challenge, but I also find it upsetting to have to keep revisiting the subject matter. The first time through it was also upsetting but that was the narrative intention. Now i'm just optimizing my runs, enjoying tbe combat, etc, but i still have to continually keep replaying this poor, scared, doomed little girl over and over. Between this and the letters from 1998, this game has arguably some of the saddest and most upsetting bits of lore in the series for me.

I'm not saying it shouldn't have been made but I really wish I could skip it on a replay. RE is my favorite series but since having a kid I find this sort of content really challenging (which i know is a me problem)
